Brooks Pierce Welcomes New Associate to the Greensboro Office
Leading North Carolina law firm Brooks Pierce is excited to announce that Josh Lingerfelt has joined the firm as an associate in the Greensboro office. Lingerfelt will focus his work on tax issues related to investment funds and securities offerings, as well as mergers and acquisitions and complex domestic and international transactions.

Lingerfelt has experience assisting investment fund sponsors of all sizes in forming different kinds of funds, including private equity, credit, real estate, alternative assets and hedge funds. His work includes advising on tax structure, drafting disclosure and organizational documents and negotiating side letters with investors. A former New York tax attorney, he has experience counseling clients through the federal income tax implications of a range of corporate transactions and complex tax issues. He is admitted to practice in New York and will seek admission to the North Carolina State Bar.
Lingerfelt earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Reed College and his juris doctorate from Columbia University.
