GBA Mentorship Committee and YLS Partner for Mentorship Luncheon

In February, the GBA’s Mentorship Committee and Young Lawyers Section partnered to host its annual membership Lunch & Learn event.  The membership welcomed guest speaker, the Honorable Teresa H. Vincent, to speak about the importance of civility and mentorship in the legal profession.  Judge Vincent shared an abundance of tips for maintaining professionalism in our industry.  For example, (1) thinking about your career with a long-term perspective; (2) identifying and building a relationship with a mentor; and (3) seeking professional counseling, when necessary.  Judge Vincent also shared several empowering stories that emphasized the significance of safeguarding your reputation as an attorney.
