Part-Time Staff Attorney Position Announcement

The Children’s Law Center of Central North Carolina (CLC) is a nonprofit organization based in Winston-Salem providing children with quality legal advocacy focusing on domestic violence issues, high-conflict custody cases, and the rights of children in public education.  CLC is searching for a Staff Attorney to work in the Greensboro office who will successfully advocate for the otherwise voiceless children in our community. 

The Staff Attorney serves as Guardian ad Litem to children involved in Guilford County Chapter 50B civil domestic violence cases.  Responsibilities include:  interviewing the parties, children and collateral witnesses; reviewing civil and criminal court records; preparing written reports for the court; and assisting in the supervision of volunteers and law students. Requirements are a NC licensed attorney with 3-5 years of experience preferably in child advocacy or family law with strong written and communication skills.  Must be willing to manage caseload in Guilford County.
