State Bar Random Audits Notice

The recently adopted policy change to the random audit selection is in effect.  The random audit selections for 2024 were drawn based on a computer-generated randomized list of all active lawyers in the state.  A geographic plan for the year was then developed from the order the active lawyers are listed.

Based on the geographic plan, audits for the first quarter of 2024 will be conducted in Durham, Guilford, Mecklenburg, Orange, and Wake counties.  The period of the audits is January 29^th through April 5^th.  Bar staff scheduling of the audits will begin January 19, 2024 by calling the lawyers in order of the random listings for these counties.
